We have been creating a fictional character for our project and mapping her life out together. Sam is a 19 year old girl who has left care into independence. She has her own place. We discussed her situation and the position she is in. For example her relationships with her mum and dad.
We discussed how Sam felt mentally and emotionally and what issues had impacted her when she was living at home, before she went into care.
What inspires me is my own journey leaving care, overcoming and dealing with issues I faced like mental health challenges and loneliness and how I have grown stronger as a person from it.
So far I am really enjoying watching the plot strengthen and spending time with the team.
