Hello my name is Tess. I work for a school in York within a wellbeing team. I also work with children and young people in care as well as care leavers.
I am passionate about empowering children and young people to have the confidence to share their voices and experiences with the hope this can help make improvements and implement change.
I hope this project helps professionals to be more aware of the issues care leavers face such as lonliness and isolation. I hope it helps to give more of an insight into just how big this transition into adulthood is and what we can do to make this an easier or more supported process.
